Hi there!
This is Dan, the founder of Cicero, with a less tedious take on the most boring section of each respectable website.
During my tenure in the VFX industry - 25 years and all - I've founded and co-founded three studios: Carbon Core (left it), Dried Mango (still with them) and this one, Cicero. Sprinkle it with some in-between gigs as a supervisor for hire and top it with working as an artist here and there.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, all the work over those years and across all those studios bears more or less the same character and was done with more or less the same core team, so in the end we decided to collect everything important here and tell a thing or two about ourselves.
We, at Cicero, love pushing pixels from set to screen. All the way down and fanatically so.
Basically, we are experts in all things post-production for live action movies and commercials, starting with set planning and ending with DI for deliverables. We don't do sound, though. No pixels in sound.
We pride ourselves on being seasoned onset supervisors who solve the craziest problems ever without breaking a sweat. We make rather compelling CGI with uncompromising quality. And we dabble in intimately knowing the entire postproduction pipeline, not just our tiny part of it, so we can help our clients untangle everything when the need arises.
When it comes to CGI itself, we specialize in projects of increased complexity, often doing particularly difficult shots for other studios. Our core competency lies in photoreal 3D and compositing, though we don't shy away from simpler things like product demos and motion design. Also we devote a lot of attention to AI research and development, being pioneers in some areas and producing effects that were simply out or reach for small studios merely a year or two ago.
Located in the Balkans, we are used to working and shooting worldwide with special focus on Southeast Asia. Just in the past year we've shot projects stretching from Patagonia to Qatar to Singapore.
Having said that, we are the quintessential nerds who literally play board games on Saturdays and named our LLC after the studio's cat. Comes with the territory.
Bring your pixels to us, and we'll let you pet the cat.
